This two floor home (whole house) is spacious and open with vaulted ceilings and an industrial and wood decor. It is private and dog friendly in the heart of SW Harbor. The home is located on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island, and is right next to Acadia National Park! You are within minutes of restaurants, trails, and all of the amenities.
Have coffee on the spacious deck! Walk to breakfast nearby, get an early hike in, or drive to downtown Bar Harbor for the touristy experience. You are in the right place!

This 2 story home has a queen sized bed, desk,and tons of closet space in the loft/bedroom on the second floor. There is a desk for work, and a loveseat for reading or contemplating the days events. There is a window AC unit for those warmer days on Mt Desert Island.

The first level has a clean and spacious bathroom with a tub/shower and washer/dryer.
Kitchen: Gas stove and oven, full sized fridge, pots, pans, drip coffee maker, microwave, dishes, silverware.
Living room: WIFI, Smart TV, and a heat for cooler nights. There is also a comfy sofa bed for those extra guests.
There is outdoor seating on a spacious and breezy deck, with a grill for additional cooking. You will enjoy the private yard area to play fetch with your pup, and a gorgeous deck to grill those steak and lobster dinners.

Your experience here is whatever you want. Beaches, mountains, biking, hiking, shopping, and more. Where are you? We are waiting for you to experience this gorgeous area with year-round fun!

Southwest Harbor is central to all of the local amenities including Acadia National Park! Approximately 2 miles to Acadia National Park, and 10 miles to Bar Harbor. The property is close to trails, beach, restaurants and town within a 5 minute walk. There are lobster pounds, whale watches, kayaking tours, boat trips, museums, shopping, golfing, restaurants, ice cream, bars, laundry mat, antiquing, and more! Watch the sunrise AND sunset from the top of Cadillac mountain. There are 244 plus trails in the area that range from easy to difficult.

Payment Policies

A partial payment in the amount of 10% of the grand total is due upon booking. Remaining payment is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival. A separate refundable damage deposit is required in the amount of $200.00. The damage deposit is payable 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy
100% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 31 days before arrival or earlier, 50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 15 to 30days before arrival or earlier. 0% refundable if cancelled after.

RENTAL RULES
Smoking and vaping are NOT allowed ANYWHERE on the property. Not inside, not outside. If smoking is detected inside the house, there will be an automatic $600 cleaning fee charged to your credit card.
Illegal activities are NOT allowed on the property, including, but not limited to, illegal substances, illegal drugs, and underage drinking.
People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
If you are adding guest(s) to the guest party we must be notified IN ADVANCE of your reservation. In addition, the total number of guests must not exceed the maximum capacity of the home allowed.
You are a short term renter, you are not considered a tenant for any rights or purposes.
The unit is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
Only use appliances for their intended uses.
PETS ARE NOT are allowed some properties. All pets must have been accepted in advance, and have a pet addendum signed. All pets require a pet fee paid in advance.
Fire pits are not allowed on some properties. Please read the guest book. Some towns/properties do not allow ANY outdoor fires.
Swim at your own risk. Be aware of the tides, and storms coming in. Kayaks can be rented locally, and are not supplied.
Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units.
Water and Septic: The property is on a well and septic systems. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products or wipes should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products or wipes have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged for damages/repairs. When using the washer and dryer, please note that there may be minerals in the water which may affect the contents of the wash.
Check IN is at 3 pm, Check OUT is at 10 am. Please pay attention to these times, the cleaners will be working to prepare the property promptly.
Please move any furniture, toys, bedding, etc back to where you found it before leaving.
Please clean the outdoor grill, table tops, range, counter tops, dishes, etc. before you leave. Please start a load of towels in the washing machine. Please strip sheets and put them on top of the beds. Please read the guest book for more relative instructions regarding your specific rental.
Please put trash out on trash day specific to your property. Instructions can be found in the guest book. We use garbage tags that we pay for, at most properties. Put your white kitchen garbage bags into one black outdoor garbage bag, and put ONE tag on the black bag only. If you are confused, please refer to the guest book, or call the property manager. It is important that trash goes out on trash days.
Recycling in Maine is not what it used to be. We are taking returnables only, that are redeemable for money. You can take them yourself to redeem or leave them in a separate bag for pick up. We do not recycle glass, misc. plastic, aluminum, etc.
Please report anything broken or damaged as soon as possible.
